Pros

I am in a non-management position started out at the lowest entry level position with an associates degree. I’ve moved up 2x in that position before being promoted 3 more times in the same department. Benefits, benefits, benefits! Yearly bonus Every 5-years of service paid vacation with an extra week of vacation or cash it out foregoing the extra week. 3-weeks PTO years 1-4 4-weeks PTO after 5 years + extra week for years of a lifetime trip Floating holidays Internal business classes certified Medical Ins Dental Ins Vision reimbursement 100% Medical premiums paid for employee 50% Medical premiums paid for family 401(k) Match up to 6% of free money Free gourmet meals served by the culinary department 4-6/days a week depending on the location. On sight medical clinics at each location Im sure I am missing some benefits. Growth, growth, growth opening up so many opportunities Appreciation for hard work and diligence, leads to recognition then opportunities! I began working for Arthrex over 5 years ago. I have been promoted three times, without expecting it. I had many co-worker haters because I was recognized over them, but I don’t work for them. I do my job and go above and beyond with out expecting recognition because that is what I am paid to do. I do not entertain to clicks, but am friendly and nice to everyone! Do not play the game!! The key is to know Arthrex expectations and perspective. I ask myself “What if this was my business?”, “What would Reinhold say, or think?!” “How would I feel if I was Reinhold!?” Daily! All employees should be proud to work for Arthrex. If Arthrex were ever to become public or be sold to a public company you can say bye, bye to many of your benefits because a board of directors will be in charge. Appreciate what Reinhold can and has done for us. He doesn’t have to do any of it! You can’t want a management position because you think you can do it or feel entitled because of longevity, you deserve it. Success comes with constant hard work, professionalism, learning, maturity, diligence, attitude, etc. and it doesn’t stop there! Yes a degree helps, but experience is also a must. Do you want a job or a career?? Depending on a position you may need a degree. Some seasoned management do not have the degree that is required today, but has the experience and years of dual loyalty and that is enough. Just because you have a degree doesn’t mean instant upper level position unless you have experience to go along and can demonstrate it. Start at the bottom and prove yourself useful and reliable! .

Cons

I get sick of the whining and complaining. Leave Arthrex if you are unhappy and can do better elsewhere. Employees that get hired then show their true colors of unprofessionalism, and poor character after 90-days. Anyone that complains about favoritism, poor management, no tools, nepotism, lack of opportunities, high school atmosphere is usually part of a click, high maintenance, and needs constant attention... grow up! Some management needs skill improving, but that can be addressed through classes and self awareness. I’ve met a lot of people seniored in upper management positions from the past that need social skill improvement. These people are from lack of human resources in SWFL before the recession. I’m not talking about the HR department! I’m taking about quality people that behave professionally, treat employees professionally, need work on communication styles, have knowledge, and sense, strive for growth in themselves for the benefit of the company and co-workers, not striving for growth based on length of service or by being chummy with management. A little self awareness goes a long way. We are all overworked but the OT is there for those that are willing to work hard towards a success end.

Horrible management. Employees discriminated against and treated poorly. Wages are below average. Lots of egos to deal with.
