Pros

Arthrex has great products and is well recognized as the leader in sports medicine. The distributor in Chicago has really provided great tolls IE. office with wet lab and mobile lab to help sales representatives attract new surgeons

Cons

Minimal training with terrible pay. Being 1099 is frustrating as an associate rep because not only are you getting compensated between 40-50K yo are expected to cover all of your own expenses.

Pros

Great training but is intense. However, if you put in the effort you will learn a lot! The best company at educating their sales reps.

Cons

Micromanaging by category managers, little or no commission. Instead there is bonuses given for achieving sales goals that don’t change despite how much more you may achieve over the required sales numbers for the bonus. Distributor doesn’t share fairly the bonuses given to the distributor that Arthrex gave them for how well their reps did. Other distributors in other states don’t do this. This distributor is the only one that does this. All this causes a high turnover. Many reps are very young due to that.

Pros

Can't think of anything to report.

Cons

I was hit by a death in the family and only had only 3 bereavement days. After I used up my 3 days, I was forced to use my PTO bank. Since I was with Arthrex for over 2 years, I should have taken FMLA because it affected my performance greatly. Therefore, I was terminated for poor performance. I'm extremely upset and disappointed with how I was treated after being there for over 2 years. I feel like a bad person and everything is wrong with me to this day. Can't get over how everything went at Arthrex.
