Pros

The benefits and location were pros to me.

Cons

Favoritism and discrimination are common here. Of course they try to mask it as something else. Pretty women and friends are given advancement opportunities over more qualified individuals. Good employees either leave once they see the true colors of the company, they are discharged for illogical reasons or they are discharged due to jealous coworkers making false reports to Human Resources. Then HR cherry picks their people for their investigation as well as cherry picks their questions to suit their agenda and force people out of the door. Women are always the victim to HR, regardless of the circumstances. I guess they forget that men can also be victims of Gender Discrimination and can have the company and individuals brought up on charges. I was also a victim and I know I'm not alone. But I have more important things to do than to seek revenge against this shady company. I went back to contracting and earning 6 figures per year. I took a pay cut to work for this company. However, I will have a big smile on my face the day I see them in the news facing a discrimination lawsuit.

Managers lie and nothing is done about it. Your experience is only as good as your manager.

Pros

Free lunch is the only pro I have to list.

Cons

Let's just say that I was texted by my Director about a task that needed to be completed on the WEEKEND PRIOR TO MY ORIENTATION DATE. That alone should say enough, but I have plenty more. They expect perfection from you on your 1st day. They will throw you dozens of side projects on your 1st week, with unrealistic deadlines, which gives you no time to learn your role. The worst management and training I have ever received. They literally hand you a manual and expect you to know your role once it's given to you. No clear vision and communications were horrible. It felt like I was walking on eggshells every single day and I dreaded coming to work after my first week due to the lack of respect I received from my Director on several occasions. If it wasn't for me relocating, I would have left after the first week, unquestionably. A lot of favoritism. If you were friends with the supervisor, then your job was pretty relaxed. But if you don't conform with a supervisor, let alone a "Director," who is immature and passive-aggressive, then you are on the “outs” of the group, and you will be pushed out one way or another.
