Pros

Dog friendly office, great co workers, decent furniture

Cons

Went from salary to hourly wage, micro managers, your roles are getting combined with no pay raises, there are layoffs left and right. The company definitely went from being a great place to work, to employees being unhappy and quitting.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We would like to specifically address the shift from salary to hourly pay for our Customer Care team. Historically any overtime work by employees was banked, but the process wasn’t very simple and left a lot of people frustrated. Shifting to hourly pay ensures overtime pay is correct and the process much simpler. In addition, there was a compensation adjustment when we shifted to hourly, resulting in Customer Care Associates receiving a pay increase.

Pros

On the positive side, employees get the opportunity to work on diverse projects with cross-functional stakeholders, which enhances their skill set and provides a rich learning experience. Additionally, there is ample exposure to different aspects of the business, allowing individuals to gain valuable insights and make a meaningful impact on operational changes that drive profit growth.

Cons

The work environment can be chaotic and unpredictable, with a lack of clear planning from day to day through to long term initiatives. The absence of strong SLT cohesion can lead to conflicting opinions and pushback on proposed initiatives, making it challenging to drive consensus and execute strategies effectively, especially as there is no visibility into workload across the whole organization and no top level prioritization happening.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback about your experience at Article. We're happy to read that you’ve experienced growth and development during your time here. We understand your concerns. Article at times can be a combination of a very dynamic and changing environment, with a lot of autonomy at each department level - this can be challenging. As a result, we often need to deal with high degrees of change or ambiguity, and while this isn’t for everyone, we see others thrive Our Learning & Development team works hard to provide teams with the framework, training, and tools (for example, Lattice, and GROW) to guide and support their employee’s development here at Article. But we can appreciate that this may look different across teams as it is driven by the individual function. Our People & Culture team is always available if you feel that you’re not receiving clear feedback or direction in your role. We would encourage you to utilize our internal communication channels for further feedback. Pros

Great work-life balance. Fun to be at a growing company where you can influence the direction a great deal. Smart and interesting colleagues. Adult work environment: mature, friendly people. No drama.

Cons

Weird mixed messages about working remotely... they should ease up on it. It'll attract more hires and demonstrate trust to the existing employees. Can be slow to integrate creative efforts. Occasionally this is pretty annoying.
