The mission is great and the employees are passionate and committed. the programs and exhibitions are always rigorously scholarly and timely.

Cons

Senior management shows no appreciation for line staff who typically work long hours for modest pay and benefits. it's a place to build a resume, but not a place to build a career.

Pros

Some great junior to mid-level staff. Very bright, hard-working, kind.

Cons

Management is terrible, unqualified, stingy, manipulative, and unappreciative. They don't invest in their employees and have a lack of understanding for how much their employees work. Most employees make nothing, work 10+ hour days while upper management make up to 18x as much. It's absurd.
