Aspen is a small company, and I had the ability to wear many hats and develop my skills in a variety of areas that I would not have been able to at a larger company where people stay within a more narrowly defined role. Aspen is very accommodating when it comes to flexible schedules, and as a parent I appreciated that greatly. They are like a family, and I made many great friends there. I only left because I was making a career change out of consulting.
Cons
As a small company that is great to work for, there is not very much turnover so the opportunities to advance are fewer. For that reason, it may take longer to reach senior levels than in other larger companies.
