Pros

Good company product and vision.

Cons

Low salary, management does not trust employees (no work from home), place is run by control freaks. HR is pitiful. Just puppets. Regularly firing people is what they like to do best.

Pros

Good people. Good at keeping costs down.

Cons

Extremely high turnover due to poor executive management and poor pay/raises. You can receive a high performance rating in your annual review and then are rewarded with an almost non-existent raise. The CFO talks negatively about almost every employee that leaves, which is extremely unprofessional and a terrible way to lead. Terrible communication between the executive team. Terrible systems. They are also a "no thrills" company, so don't expect any company outings or team building activities besides the annual cookout which is essentially an extended lunch.

Pros

The medical plan, sick time and 3 weeks vacation is good. The 401K match is below average.

Cons

I have worked at Aspen for 4 years. They have hired a group to fix their image because they cannot keep employees for long. The Management doesn't approve vacations, even when no one else is on the vacation calendar because of coverage issues. There has been no room for growth. They state there teams are "lean and mean" and they really are. During this last snow storm, an email from the CEO went out that you can work from home if you coordinate it with your Manager but then your Manager does not approve it so you have to come in if you are a low level worker while other members of the Team can work from home. They have hired a team to help improve their image, and some of these positive posts must be written by them. Really, if you want to be stressed, get sick, and be constantly treated poorly, accept the job here. If not, you are better to look else where. I have had enough!
