Pros

You will get a lot of experience in the software business. Health benefits are very good. Co-workers are very friendly.

Cons

-Salary and raises are a joke compared to the amount of work they expect you to do. - Management turns a blind eye to problems & expect you to deal with it. -Untrained, unexperienced and disrespectful people are put in higher level positions, driving a whole department out of the company. -If there is a snow storm, do not expect your manager to let you work from home; instead they'll say: "Take your time getting here or use a vacation day".

Pros

- Salary is very competitive - Bonus is competitive if you are in sales or at the VP level - If you want to test your mettle to see how much abuse you can take, Aspen is a good testing ground - My personal daily commute at about 30 minutes was tolerable

Cons

- Feeling like a valued, contributing employee will be up to you to make yourself feel that way; upper management actions imply that Aspen is doing you a favor by allowing you to get a pay check regardless of your contribution or results - No communication from upper management w/r/t to business decisions - edicts are handed down and if you don't like it you can find the door - HR does not perform in the role of employee advocate - they are company first, people last - If you are male, promotions are based on the potential you might be able to do a job; if female, good luck. - Upper management rules with fear and dominance - Upper management says they want a collaborative work enviroment but actions do not support the words - Fingerpointing, scape-goating and bullying is the standard of conduct demonstrated and encourages by upper management - Raising valid business issues and concerns will only get labeled as insubordinate and unsupportive - Advice from a C-level executive at the fiscal year kick-off in July 2011 to about 350 employees: what is the first thing you do after you knock your opponent down? Kick them! Then kick them again and hope the ref isn't looking.

Smart co-workers, work-life balance, interesting projects

Cons

High turnover rate. The company is like a fast-food factory.
