      Pros

      AZPN has been looking for ways to replace their eroding revenue base and have been acquiring small niche companies, without much success till the massive partnership deal with Emerson.

      Cons

      AZPN has a very very poor strategic partnership history, but then again no one has ever given them billions to drive industrial software innovation.

      Pros

      Great place to start out and learn a lot very quickly, excellent stepping stone job; company provides excellent software; other consultants are great to work with; can leave your work in the office once you go home

      Cons

      salary always well below market value; management not proactive about anything; the only reason they have any talent is because they will sponsor visas for international students to stay in the US, but we all leave the first moment we get a chance; no flexibility in work schedule

      Pros

      paycheck never bounced and health claim always paid out.

      Cons

      AspenTech has a long history of doing big deals with international energy & chemical companies. These deals come along very infrequently. If you are lucky enough to hit the jackpot on your first spin of the wheel (Quarter 1/2) your commission will be "Windfall" clause reduced. Stated another way you wont see even half of what the payout should be.
