Pros

People that you work with, pay, benefits, chances to obtain bonuses.

Cons

Started out to be a great company to work for but things are falling apart in the claims department. Not really sure if the people above the VP know what is really going on. We need more people.

Culture Needs Improvement

Pros

Good benefits, decent paycheck, some nice co-workers. HR does a good job trying to offer fun activities and strives for diversity and inclusion. That at least warrants a 2-star review in my opinion.

Cons

Culture needs a lot of work! This company nurtures a terrible work-life balance. Expect to carry the work load of at least 2-3 people, where working late is just about a daily occurrence. It's not uncommon for the parking lot to be riddled with AssuranceAmerica employee cars at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday kind of vibe. Some will blame expansive growth for the feeling of being stretched-thin, which you could argue is a good thing, but it is sure to cause burn out of current employees in the long term. As another reviewer stated, it often feels like you're walking on eggshells around here. I've seen high turnover in all departments lately. Will be difficult to attract and retain top-talent until a lot of culture issues are sorted.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with others. At AssuranceAmerica we encourage our associates to unplug and recharge by taking their allotted personal time. We review our benefit plans frequently in an effort to be an employer of choice. We would be open to additional feedback at HRGroup@aainsco.com.
