Pros

* The President truly cares and is easily accessible and involved * The company values its employees and tries to balance compassion with business needs * Most are focused on our business objectives and try to be a positive contribution * Values and Behaviors are well developed and a good measure of being a productive and caring contributor * Incentive compensation is very generous and the base pay is fair to market

Cons

* The company is still shifting culture to align with values and behaviors * The company is still in process of maturing processes for supporting roles * The company is a busy and dynamic culture that identifies continuous improvement opportunities - accountability and drive are key * Sometimes changes and shifts move slower than desired, but they are still moving in the right direction.

Astronics AES has seen its best days

Pros

People. Not manager people, but the ones who work in the trenches every day are the only saving grace of this company and they're doing everything they can to force out the good ones.

Cons

Horrible, cold HR department. Employees are viewed as a machine and not as people. Operations management wants to lean out the company to the 9th degree, but has tunnel vision and refuses to fix basic issues like server problems, laptops, and old machernery that breaks down constantly. Finance people are overworked with little thanks. Program Managers work 24/7 and travel weekly. Production workers have no schedule flexibility. The pay is mediocre. Bonuses are good but salaries are adjusted down and employees are essentially compensated with quarterly bonuses, which is not an actual promised part of your salary.
