Pros

They pay you on time.

Cons

No real benefits. They change the job description at will and tell you that’s what you signed up for. Management encourages you to lie to customers. Management hierarchy lacks knowledge on the industry. Nobody wants to do any of the real work. They stab each other in the back while smiling in each other’s faces. This place sucks; plain and simple. Dominated by morons that can not be talked to. There is almost never quality merchandise to match the expensive pricing, messy staff who will ignore you and pass your request off to other associates who have no idea what’s going on in the store. Couple of the associates seem like they make drinks at break time. The management pretends to know what they are doing and lie with great confidence. This place is great for anybody who has to furnish their home temporarily with damaged furniture and return it. At Home is a beautified garbage can. If you intend on working here, pursue at your own risk; this is a very stressful environment. This is one of the most dysfunctional, confusion filled and chaotically ran businesses in the area.

Pros

Sample sales for employees. So many of my coworkers were very nice.

Cons

Poor leadership, communication. Lack of transparency. The most political work environment I've been a part of. You're either "chosen" or you're not. Every day is a different focus. The company needs new leadership and they need to ensure leaders have integrity and strong morals and know how to lead a team and know how to run a business. Workload is too much - always working at night, on weekends and constantly on email 24/7. Not a healthy environment. Executive leadership only focuses on cashing out big. Low labor model does not work, especially in stores. No labor in the stores is only setting the stores up for failure. And having no customer service in today's retail environment is not competitive. The term "culture" is always mentioned, yet they don't walk the walk or talk the talk. I can honestly say I don't know any co-worker that was happy in their role.
