Pros

Fun atmosphere with plenty to do every day. After a day working at Garden Ridge, you always feel like you accomplished something. We have really good team spirit at our location. Thanks mainly to our G.M.

Cons

It seems in these tough economic times, that the consumer is spending less, and returning items frequently. We are somewhat low on staff, which really tightens the work load. I would love to have a spotless, organized store, though that is nearly next to impossible. You need to be strong physically and mentally to work here.

the freedom to merchandise. there is no set way.

Cons

now communication from corp. on what is going on. they rule by scare tactics. and when they dont give direction it is hard to take blame, but it comes any way.

You get to see a lot of different products come into this store. Christmas time is about the only time work is fun.

Cons

Not many hours ,cant move up very far in the corporate ladder for this company. Managers don't help associate with issues in the work place.
