Pros

Great employee discount in all Gap brands. Friendly associates. Nice customers.

Cons

Poor store leadership. Poor communication from corporate. Benefits are terrible. Too much expected from part time sales associates and store leaders. Corporate spends a lot of time speaking about Culture in interviews, but the culture in stores is terrible!. Hours cut every week. Even full-time managers have their hours cut to less than 35 hours a week!

Pros

Very supportive group of people around you. Your goal is to provide a great customer experience not to just get the sale any way you can. Collaboration with the community is terrific. If not working you can participate in events like yoga classes, etc. Of course there is the discount that apples across the family of Gap brands. Hire a wide range of people from different backgrounds. I'm a bit older and not really a gym type - I was surprised to be hired and more surprised to find people with a range of fitness activities, all ages and sizes. When they say 'Power to the she" this company sincerely means it.

Cons

Everyone except managers is part time, which I knew - but part time can mean as few as 12 hours a week but over 3 days. Also, unlike Starbucks and The Container Store, part time associates do not have access to health benefits.
