Pros

I enjoy the people I work with in my individual clinic, the job is not overly difficult especially for the the pay.

Cons

The just cut Office Coordinator bonuses, there is no room to grow what so ever, I have tried asking for more responsibilities and opportunities for a year and have been met with “you just need to be patient”. Like most big companies, they care about the bottom line and increasing profit for shareholders, which means everyone down the chain gets screwed. It is not a bad starting job, or low stress second income job, but don’t go into thinking you will be able to have any upward mobility.

Pros

Opportunity to earn bonuses every year, great people to work with and you learn a lot.

Cons

You're expected to do a lot outside of your role, management takes forever to address our immediate needs and they are all about the numbers; how many people we see in a week is how they calculate some bonuses. We are also expected to grovel and beg patients to not cancel appointments and they cannot quit therapy.

Great Company and Great Staff

Pros

This company is wonderful to work for! The company has a strong reputation of only hiring the best physical therapists and it definitely shows in their work and professionalism. The OC position is definitely a demanding job, especially if you work at a busy clinic, but you learn a lot about customer service and are surrounded by great co-workers. There is also always someone to ask questions, as Athletico has a region system that provides a means for other OCs to ask each other questions or problem-solve with, not to mention administrative staff is also wonderful and willing to answer questions. Would highly recommend!

Cons

The business is definitely out for profit and it showed very prominently during COVID-19. There were company-wide furloughs and it was very difficult to get back to work due to patient numbers being low. In addition, PTO had to be used if an employee got sick or had exposure due to the virus, causing many to lose their whole two weeks worth of time off due to a mandatory quarantine. This was definitely a low-point for the company and left employee moral very low towards corporate.
