Pros

Teamwork with other Athletic Trainers is good. Paid time off, paid holidays, and paid CEUs (To a certain extent). Some of the managers are great and will help you to the best of their ability.

Cons

Athletic trainers (AT) are taken for granted. They are overworked and underpaid. They are constantly asking ATs to pick up other events and sports coverages outside of their 40 hours and the benefits of the extra pay aren't worth the extra work. They require you to relationship build (shadow and observe) local doctors in the area and ask that you try to get them to refer to the physical therapy clinics. The time you put in to do this you do not always get compensated for. They base raises off of how much relationship building you do, and how many Physical therapy referrals you have to the clinics only, and not how many extra events you pick up outside of your 40 hours.
