Pros

Friendly, laid-back atmosphere, flexible work schedule

Cons

Because of organization changes, people are laid off unexpectedly, The ones who are left are expected to pick up the extra work without being compensated. Expected to work overtime without compensation if you're a salaried employee, not enough work/life balance, pay is below average.

As with every company, there is room for improvement.

Pros

The health, etc. benefits in the US are good compared to other companies (not sure how they compare in other regions around the world).

Cons

1.) As with many companies these days, employees are pushed hard, so the work-life balance is quite poor. 2.) In the US, the culture has changed a bit for the worse, since Atkins acquired PBSJ. 3.) The company doesn't seem terribly interested in retaining top talent. Instead, they definitely interested in pleasing the share-holders, and the bonus eligible staff, which has resulted in a few large reductions in force (layoffs), but I guess that goes with the territory.
