Pros

Atria fosters a great environment for employees and residents alike. I am excited to come to work every day. Co-workers are encouraging and push me to better myself. There is always opportunity to grow your career, and to grow as a person. Work-life balance is a huge plus.

Cons

No matter what the job title, working in senior living is not for the faint of heart. I do it because I love it.

Pros

Salary. Annual bonus potential is unmatched in competitors.

Cons

Corporate has become too greedy and the community directors are vastly micro managed which interferes with day to day operations.

Pros

The residents are amazing and I absolutely loved seeing them. Connections and bonds you make with the residents and hearing their stories. Sharing your moments with them (picks of your children, wedding day, etc) Most residents are very thoughtful and understanding.

Cons

Short staffed - until now. Business director is rude and pushy/all about sales not the residents. Might I have forgotten to add, she's a liar. Sales director refers to residents with slight mental disabilities as whack jobs. Community director isn't as involved as you'd think a community director would be, rarely interacts with her community of residents. .
