Pros

Great work-life balance. Good patient to nurse ratios. Fairly good benefit package with healthy lifestyle incentives.

Cons

Need better compensation packages for raises. Not a lot of room for growth beyond the bedside.

Pros

High volume gives you a ton of experience with many different types of patients. They will put a small amount of money toward your continuing education.

Cons

They tout work/life balance, but that only applies to those in certain areas of the hospital. If you work in a procedure area they make you work until all the cases for the day are complete, then give you a hard time if you hit overtime.
