Pros

Decent benefits and can get $ back insurance for participating in proactive health actions.

Cons

1- Management has no clue what staff nurses go through and refuse to come down to our level. 2- Management also bends and twists policy to fit their needs, even if it is clearly stated. There is no protection for the employees wither as HR will go along with management in every situation I had witnessed. 3- Many nurses have left recently (good compassionate nurses) because they felt no support from upper management, HR or the hospital and also felt that patient safety suffered.

Pros

-Great Work/Life Balance -Great Benefits (Health, Dental, PTO) -Great Coworkers -Hospital care about it employees -They want you to grow and succeed within the organization

Cons

-The pay is lower than you could get at a for-profit company, but that should be somewhat expected -Not a lot of room for promotion due to high employee retention rate
