      Truly interested in engaging their employees with a focus on work life balance.

      Cons

      Believe that upper and middle management should have been downsized first before front line positions like environmental services were eliminated when it was time to reduce organizational expenses.

      Nurse perspective.....

      Pros

      Team of nurses work great together. Supplies for patients readily available. Nursing supervisors readily available for emergencies. Calling a Rapid Response team was not discouraged. Nursing team tried hard not to assign more than 6 patients per nurse in medsurg.

      Cons

      Missing breaks and/or lunch was commonplace. Lowest paying system in the area. Pay raises were very small. Vacation time is hard to get on weekends. Constantly being asked to work overtime. Nurses required to float to other medsurg units on a rotating basis, as needed. Shift differential is not high enough for nurses to want to remain on nights. There is a long waiting list for days.

      Retirement Pension and nice annual bonus.

      Cons

      Disorganized and employees don't take their job seriously. Too many call offs and drama at the patients expense.
