Pros

- Increase in pay depending on shift is appropriate: night, weekends, etc. - Can rely on helpful team members - Can usually find people to cover shifts if needed - Increase in pay related to career ladder advancement are good - Can quite easily switch to another unit

Cons

- Leadership changes have caused more micro managing - Scheduling is not always flexible - Calling out when sick causes problems when it was unavoidable - Insurance with hospital system does not have good coverage for nurse or family

direct manager was cool pay was decent

coworkers usually suck and no one will do anything about it due to staffing shortages, upper management/admin/hr are really just out for themselves
