      Not a great place to work for maintenance/ skilled trade workers.

      Pros

      A check, steady income is the only thing that makes this job worth coming to. There aren't too many pros to this position.

      Cons

      Dealing with immature old men, who constantly complain about having to do something, the maintenance department is the bottom of the food chain. Administration has favorites and cater to them more than other employees. Extremely political workplace. Schedule sucks. Tons of responsibilities honestly do not know all that we are responsible for. You come in and do the same thing every day.

      Pros

      Get to experience how to work with mental health. Gets foot in the door at the hospital and very flexible schedule if PRN.

      Cons

      There are times where you could get hit. 12 hour shifts are long to sit. It can get very mentally exhausting.

      Take advantage of salaried positions with the "do more with less" mentality - expect the salaried positions to handle the additional work when staffing cuts are made! Benefits continue to decline annually - yet get more expensive for the employee. Do not stand behind the Values they expect employees to work by. Different rules for different people doing the same job. No loyalty to their employees.
