Pros

Atrium is both the owner and the management company for all of their hotels, which means decisions can be made quickly, and time is not wasted doing the same thing twice for 2 different stakeholders. There are significant opportunities for career advancement, and the company promotes and encourages corporate social responsibility. The company recently completed an associate survey and are responding quickly to the feedback.

Cons

It's a new company, so some of the systems and procedures are still being evaluated and adjusted. They are transparent about when and why something needs to be changed, and because things aren't set in stone, they often make changes based on the feedback and opinions from the hotels.

Pros

- Individual property leadership can be really good. - Depending on your VPO, a lot of autonomy provided to manage how you feel is best.

Cons

- Corporate office, up to and including the 'top' are not very responsive to feedback. While they will seem to graciously accept it, they will also look for ways to discount it or change the narrative to fit their agenda. Even worse, they may take your ideas to make their own skewed versions without any credit given. - No true support to help upper management at the property levels cope with the change in the hospitality environment since COVID-19. If you don't have staffing or local support, expect to work nearly 24/7. - Sadly yet another 'yes-man' culture. If you follow the company line and your hotel is making money, you are a 'rockstar'; even if you are not taking care of the people you oversee. Mention needed changes or personal/property frustrations and they will look for a way to replace you. - Promotions to above property positions tend to go to those with close relationships with upper management, even if more qualified individuals are available.

Pros

The health insurance coverage and ease of hiring process.

Cons

One location is run by a mob of upper management. A lot of favoritism and unethical practices by unprofessional individuals. The sad part is that the HR doesnt do anything to address the concerns of the employees and they just play the 3 monkeys which leads to a very high manager turnover. And the corporate doesnt even care to investigate. You can only accrue 4 days of PTO after working a year and if you leave after that, they are not paid off or granted. The manager salaries are below the industry average.
