      Pros

      Auction.com is an absolute leader in default disposition space. Miles ahead of closest competitors in terms of volume. Auction.com is a leading online real estate marketplace, actually selling real estate online mostly without agents, which is very exciting. Auction.com is a profitable business with committed investors and a lot of smart, experienced and hard-working leaders. Auction.com works with almost all the largest banks and mortgage servicers and investors in the country. Auction.com is an innovator and leader in many aspects (pioneered REO online auction, foreclosure auction sync, remote bidding, seller bid interact, etc.) Auction.com has been fully transitioned to the cloud (AWS). Auction.com has ambitious goals to build new platforms which will bring its efficiency to the next level.

      Cons

      Due to Auction.com being part of the broader mortgage servicing industry, certain technology pieces can be antiquated and many processes are very manual and laborious. Company culture is not tech-first, but a little bit old-school business-driven.

      Got me through the recession

      Pros

      The company had a unique product the benefited from the housing downturn of the last recession. I was in the right place at the right time and maintained a good salary.

      Cons

      The company was very disorganized and had a continuous turnover in management. They had no real plan or direction other than to increase sales period by period.

      Constantly changing strategies. Acquisition by private equity firm THLee has brought added pressure on the workers.
