Pros

Good salary Broad portfolio Brand discounts and free clothes you probably wont wear. A somewhat honest attempt at internal promotions (more on that later)

Cons

Incredibly ironic company name whose core business is buying brands out of bankruptcy and spinning them off into whatever vertical they can find a licensee for. The work environment, as the president said himself on a company all-hands, is best described as "Draconian". The place runs like a clubhouse for friends of the Salter family and other executives. My team was on a hiring freeze and subsequently hired 4 new employees - all of which were products of nepotism. While the company tries to do a good job with internal promotion (I was promoted at 11 months), you question a fair shot at true leadership positions when 3 team members of equal seniority were children of the C-suite. Surprised to see a company of this size fail to invest in infrastructure like IT and other basic business tools. Our Wi-Fi went out and they refused to send people home, worried about the example it would set. We received an email saying it was fixed, only for it to break an additional 2 days. Many corporate files were housed on a single Dropbox account, which was HACKED. Strongly disapprove of the CEO and his leadership style. Once I was told I had to come into the office on Fridays, "in case Jamie is touring an investor or one of his friends". General air of misogyny in his comments during internal meetings despite so many female hires. You might see an email from HR welcoming suggestions, but I promise nobody is listening.

Toxic Work Environment

Pros

The people I work directly with are nice and knowledgeable.

Cons

This is the worst environment I have ever worked in, completely toxic and mentally abusive- managed from the top through control and fear. C-Suite gets a thrill out of degrading you in front of others, picking apart your work…recognition is non-existent, but only if you put money in their pockets or if you are a relative or friend of the family. White male dominant leaders, nepotism all the way... no growth for minorities and women. They have ZERO integrity, ZERO morals, & ZERO respect for employees. There is NO HYBRID, the President yanked that away! Yet you are expected to be available 24/7, work in the morning before you come to the office and at night when you get home, Must be at their beckon call on weekends, holidays and on your vacation. Yet family/ friends are able to work anywhere they want to, it’s disgusting! Leadership is cheap as hell…no corporate cell phones, use your own, and no corporate cards. You wait months to get your expenses reimbursed, but that is after it’s been questioned a million times. You end up taking it out of your own pocket as the abuse is not worth it. But keep in mind they LOVE to flash their wealth in front of your face. It's a sad state for sure!
