Pros

-The pay they offered was something I have never received for just being a BT, not even a registered. I was offered $25 an hour for my 2-3years of experience. -the kids! -when I needed a new client they immediately found me a new client and transferred me the following week -they allow to make selection of available toys and activities for clients -they reply to you pretty fast -able to grow within company -PM’s -availability to pick up sub cases for extra hours -provided electronics to record data -very welcoming -small center so feels more connected with employees. You can easily get in touch with them -are on top of goals being ran

Cons

(This is very detailed and long) -while the pay was great the hours were horrible! I think I received less hours that were offered due to cancellations from clients. Parents in return were upset because employees got away with calling off for no reason and only giving therapy through telehealth -so many changes in clients!! I really do not know who are the PM’s and BCBA’s for the clients. They also never came in person to session. Only through the iPad. -Certain PM’s were more supportive. BCBA’s looked overworked and tired. -I was always having to set up a telehealth! I get it with COVID but it got to the point where I was having telehealth supervision multiple times a day every single day. Kids were always distracted and never formed connections with anyone but mainly BT’s. -when there was a telehealth happening the PM’s and BCBA’s would sometimes say they were going to be on mute with their camera off talking to upper management on the phone “but they’ll still be hearing”. Felt like they never attended sometimes. -I feel really bad for the scheduling person. Yes, 1. It seems they put too much on them. They call/answer parents for cancellations, finds available sub cases for BT’s if they need the hours, handles cancellations from all employees, fixes scheduling and any issues with hours changing etc. -distance. I had to drive 20+ plus miles for some clients from my residence. You don’t get reimbursed for gas from personal residence to the first case. Only between cases. Many clients only had availability in afternoon until 8pm. If you want to working morning you have to work in upper management or parent training/program management -I do not know the amount of kids I’ve worked with. We are expected to sub any available sessions offered in the group chat if it is during our availability. - It was very hard meeting new families and then never seeing them again. Because we sub a lot we are not familiar with running the session. In most cases a sub session is building rapport with the client and not putting demands because you are new and it can affect the session. But upper management gets upset because not enough goals are being ran for client.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. We appreciate your feedback and take all employee feedback seriously, as we are always looking for ways to improve our organization. We would like to clarify that cancellations and client requests for therapist changes can certainly impact the number of hours available for our employees. However, it is important to note that we do have measures in place, which we mention during the onboarding process, to mitigate this impact. Our scheduling team is very organized and makes every effort to provide substitute sessions or assign new clients to ensure a fair and consistent number of hours for our employees. We have also grown in our clinical staff and administrative staff which also includes our scheduling department as we are growing as an organization. We appreciate the time you spent with us and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

-small company, meant that your work felt like it mattered more. - monthly social gatherings kept me sane and made me feel like I was actually apart of a working team. -flexible with your schedule -drive time reimbursement -work tablet , uses Catalyst to collect data, sign-off -Charles Rhee , the director cared about my career progress - I was able to buy toys and get them reimbursed .

Cons

-at time miscommunication on cancellations , going to client's house and hearing that session was cancelled last minute; still got compensated for the drive-time. Scheduling team was one person, but communication was alright. -BCBAs were overworked, seemed burnt-out - hired full-time, acquired unusual hours after summer vacation and into school time, average hours per week went 15-18 hours. To obtain a bit more hours, I worked in office doing admin things? -I had to clock in my hours through Google Forms, it was a bit tedious .

Pros

I have been with Autism Spectrum Support center for many years and some things that I appreciate are the flexible hours (management is kind and understanding), gradual pay increases, great medical benefits, reimbursement of miles and drive time, work/life balance and the fun quarterly social events! I also appreciate our lead Charles Rhee. When COVID happened, our director did everything to be sure everyone was supported. He is honest, a man of his word and cares not only about the company but also about the wellbeing and growth of his employees. Very rewarding job with high paid rates. I'm looking forward to and hoping I can grow with the company.

Cons

Hours can fluctuate depending on client availability.
