Good people and work life balance, but at the cost of poor pay and benefits

Pros

Work with some really amazing people and managers. Bonuses when you get them are nice. Opportunities are available to transition career wise, but more lateral moves than up. Work life balance is good if you're lucky enough to be IT with full remote.

Cons

Pay among industry is below average, pay increases are below average, PTO is not great, company cannot retain talent. If you're not IT, remote work is slowly being clawed away.

Good values & standards, Undervalued & Overworked employees

Pros

Solid benefits including pension after 5 years, nice and knowledgable colleagues. Thorough training, no quotas, but same day first contact expected. They’re very proud they’ve never done layoffs before.

Cons

The workload will overwhelm you. Totally underpaid. Of some larger insurance carriers, they are at the bottom of the spectrum regarding pay. They are extremely slow to change and technologically about 10-15 years behind everyone. Request for pay raises take at least two months.
