Wonderful coworkers , management could use some work

Very nice co workers, will assist the best they can given their overworked themselves,

Cons

The pay is low given the amount of work given.Training is poor, especially if you have no prior experience in the insurance industry. Management is very micromanaging, tend to use fear tactics in terms of job security. Upper management out of touch and doesn’t really know or care to understand what associate underwriters go through.

Pay and benefits were really good.

Cons

Micromanaging everything you do. No room for discussion. Target employees to make then quit rather than terminating them.

It’s not the same place

Pension Plan, 401K, Health benefits, Great coworkers

Cons

Employee retention is a huge concern. It’s making new hires nervous. Pay employees more and show them respect. We’ve been told if you don’t like something here then leave. Not a very good motto for branch management to have as we the employees do want this company to succeed since our profit sharing bonus depends on it. Time for upper mgmt to listen to employee feedback. The WFH program is based on if your manager likes you. Need more time to work from home. Be a leader and offer full maternity leave. Don’t worry about other companies, and be the leader.
