Pros

Auto-Owners is a great company to learn all lines of business. Easy to stay under the radar. Three days work from home!

Cons

The pay is well below the salary market place. You can make $30,000 plus going to another carrier. I am now starting to interview for a great company.

Pros

You will get a lot of experience extremely fast. If you come in with no insurance experience, you will not get as many difficult claims for a very long time and you likely will get to build your inventory. Otherwise in the past, the people that come in with claims experience will get someone else's inventory after the first couple of weeks.

Cons

You will not get adequate training. You better be ambitious if you want to learn otherwise you will sink fast. There is extremely high turnover because the workload is unsustainable and then when those people leave you get their files. There are very few reps that last 5 years. The complexity of the claims is also not well balanced. The newer people can float for at least 6months to a year before they get an easy bodily injury file. People with experience get loaded up with anything the other people with the same job title as you can't handle.
