Pros

The only reason I work here is because of the commute.

Cons

They just cut the pay plan by saying they are “increasing our chances to make money” when in fact we are averaging between $800-$1200 PVR on used cars but we have a $500 used car pack so that 30% commission isn’t going to pay out over the standard $200 mini. Forget about new cars because every general manager is so focused on volume and making our reports look good to the RODM, MP, and RP. They constantly screw up spiffs and are never paid on time which leads to all the sales staff becoming very disgruntled because it make take 2 months. The previous pay plan was actually decent and worth sticking around for but stores are losing people left and right as high as 5-6 people a month right now.

Thank you for this detailed feedback. We're sorry to hear you are disappointed with our current compensation plan. Our sales associates are very valuable to our team, and we are always looking to make improvements as a company and as an employer. We ensure your feedback is heard, and encourage you to reach out directly to your supervisor with any additional concerns you may have.

Pros

It's a way to pay some of your bills. It's good if you want to gain experience because if you have a pulse and can breathe on your own, you're hired.

Cons

You are nothing but a number. A statistic. A means to an end. You are a warm body to fill a position so the managers can live a better lifestyle.

We are truly sorry to hear you are disappointed with the structure of the managers and new employees. We never want our employees to feel underappreciated, and we want all our employees to feel valued. At AutoNation, we take great pride in finding qualified employees who we believe provide great leadership in helping our stores run efficiently. We treat all our employees with respect and provide them with the proper training. We appreciate your honesty and feedback, which we will take into consideration as we improve our company.
