Pros

- Great business stakeholders - Company is doing well - Decent compensation

Cons

- IT PMO officers are novice in the knowledge of project management competencies - Leadership and strategic vision in the IT organization is disorganized (the cut-throat mentality prevents innovation) - The directors and VPs are to involved in the projects (micro-management), inhibiting project progress - Accountability without authority (you will not be able to make any project decisions, it will require management approval) - The cheer (Yes, you'll have to learn a company cheer)

Pros

The pay for your ASE testing. Also fairly easy to get hours out of them and full time status. I've also met some cool people working here. The 20% employee discount is ok.

Cons

They have this thing called checkout challenge where you have to offer the item of the month to every customer. If you don't you get written up. If nobody wants to buy it you are still held accountable and get written up. They offer no training or strategy to push it and you don't get any commission or bonus; they just threaten your job. Another problem is the item on sale is fuel injector cleaner every other month or products that people aren't interested in. They also expect you to sell an air filter to 1 out of 4 people who come in and buy an oil change special when you only need to change it every 1-3 years. It seems the focus in this company is how many unnecessary items you can sell customers and not customer service They have phone shops where someone randomly calls the store to make sure you are spamming callers with current specials, store hours, and asking to take the customer's information to hold the part for them. This wouldn't be bad but I work in a store that is constantly busy where there are always lines of customers and the phone is always ringing. We have to work swiftly to help customers in the store and on the phone and don't have time to worry about the spam they want us to tell people. The pay is also the lowest compared to competing auto parts stores. The store is open ridiculous hours especially on the weekends and holidays. I would only recommend this job to someone who is looking for a temporary job or if you can't find a job, take this one until you can find something better.
