Pros

Few to be brutally honest

Cons

I worked at this company for two years as part of the software development team responsible for building a new platform — an initiative that was ultimately abandoned due to poor leadership, rampant mismanagement, and unsustainable costs. The company has since reverted to its outdated legacy system, a move that has done nothing to contribute to sustainable growth. The biggest problem is the CEO. Since taking over in early 2024, he has created a hostile and fear-driven environment. Conversations often devolve into tirades, and any disagreement — no matter how respectfully presented — is treated as insubordination. Employees are regularly let go for failing to flatter his ego, while competent staff either burn out or resign. His volatile temperament and messiah-like delusions make collaboration nearly impossible, and innovation has ground to a halt. What was once a promising company has become a cautionary tale of how toxic leadership can destroy morale, talent, and customer trust. I’m deeply grateful to have left and would strongly advise anyone considering employment here to look elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While I respect that everyone is entitled to their own experience, I do want to address the tone and some of the statements made here. Autosoft welcomes constructive criticism, but personal attacks, exaggerated characterizations, and disrespectful language are neither accurate nor productive. Since late 2024, Autosoft has been undergoing a significant transformation. These changes have been intentional, data-driven, and designed to strengthen the company’s long-term stability. In fact, Autosoft is more financially secure today than it has been in many years, and every major decision, including adjustments to product direction, personnel, and operational structure, has been made with sustainability and future growth in mind. I recognize that not everyone will agree with or fully understand the reasoning behind these changes. That’s true in any company navigating a major modernization effort. But disagreement must remain respectful. Positioning decisive leadership as “hostile” or referring to a CEO with inflammatory language does a disservice to the many dedicated team members who are working hard every day to move Autosoft forward. We expect professionalism, accountability, and collaboration from all employees, and we will always stand by decisions made to protect that culture. Pushing the company toward excellence is not “insubordination.” However, misalignment, refusal to collaborate, or undermining team direction certainly is. Autosoft is on a strong, stable path, and I ask current and potential team members to trust the process as we continue building a company that serves both our employees and our dealers better than ever before. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Anthony Belcher

Pros

Coworkers were supportive, passionate, and genuinely wanted to deliver a better experience for clients. They were the only reason anything ever moved forward.

Cons

-The company's internal tools and systems are embarrassingly outdated, slowing progress to a crawl. -Updates take forever to roll out, turning simple improvements into exhausting projects. -Testing procedures are sloppy and inefficient, causing preventable issues to pile up. -Priorities shift without explanation, creating confusion and wasted effort. -Engineers constantly work long hours fixing problems cause by poor coordination between teams. -Communication from those making decisions is vague and unhelpful, leaving everyone guessing. -Disorganization smothers any real innovation, wasting the talent and effort of the entire engineering team.

I’m glad to hear you had supportive teammates who cared deeply about our customers. That passion is something we value and continue to see across the company. With that said, I want to offer some perspective. While we know there’s always room to improve, the idea that our systems are “embarrassingly outdated” doesn’t reflect where Autosoft is today. Since joining Autosoft, I’ve invested in modernizing our tools, improving workflows, and strengthening communication across teams. In fact, many employees have shared that they appreciate the progress we’ve made and how those updates have made their jobs easier and more efficient. Change can be challenging, especially in a company that’s been serving dealerships for nearly four decades. But the results speak for themselves….tens of thousands of users across the country rely on Autosoft every single day because they love the simplicity, stability, and value our software delivers. I always welcome constructive feedback, and I appreciate you taking the time to share yours. But I also want to assure current and future team members that Autosoft is a company on the move. We’re continuously improving, listening, and building for the long term. - Anthony Belcher

Pros

Excellent and bright co-workers. Supportive colleagues.

Cons

I have never felt the support of the incompetent leadership of Autosoft. Our leaders don’t provide guidance and resources, but they also give a ton of task and demand too much from the employees. Our leaders here are incompetent and incapable, and they don’t possess the leadership qualities required to effectively lead a company.

I’m truly sorry to hear you haven’t felt supported by leadership. That’s never the experience we want anyone to have at Autosoft, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It’s warming to see you found your coworkers to be bright and supportive. That collaboration and teamwork are what make Autosoft special, yet we still have work to do to ensure that same level of support extends from leadership as well. We’re actively focused on improving communication, strengthening leadership training, and ensuring our teams have the necessary resources to succeed. If I could make a suggestion, if you feel you’re not being offered the guidance and resources needed to perform your job duties, please speak up directly with your supervisor and let them know your concerns. I feel more often than not, employees do not have open and direct dialogue with leaders. I encourage open and honest communication. Your feedback is important to me, and I’d welcome the chance to hear more directly about your experience so we can continue to improve. Please reach out to me directly if you want to have an open conversation. - Anthony Belcher
