Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's great to see such a long list of "pros" in your comments. Having gone fully remote nearly a year ago now, we sometimes forget to mention how great our office environment is, so thanks for the reminder. Many of us are looking forward to using the office again! We agree with you; we are busy. We want to hit on your comment, "high value on metrics vs. low value on customer service." Everyone working at Availity has goals to achieve in support of our operating priorities. It's these goals that help drive performance and improve outcomes. But at the end of the day, it's not just about achieving these goals--it's also about HOW we achieve them. In client services specifically, associates are tasked to provide both efficient and high-quality service to our customers. We hope that every associate understands that efficiency and quality hold equal weight based on our corporate values. Providing quality service for some customers may take longer than it does for others—our goal here is for associates to stay mindful of both efforts in every interaction but not to sacrifice a quality customer interaction to beat the clock. So if you're feeling too much pressure on the metrics, please discuss that with your manager. They may be able to provide some helpful guidance in this area. Thank you again for your review. We are happy to have you on the Availity team!

Pros

Teams become family Smart people building products that solve big problems for Providers Benefits improving thanks to new HR leader

Cons

No carrot, only stick Lack of diversity - though company is trying to course correct. Time will tell if this is just virtue signaling or if HR will begin to hold hiring managers accountable.

We agree. Our teams at Availity feel like family, and we are lucky to work with such talented, smart people to help improve the healthcare industry. Our HR team has been working hard this past year to enhance our benefits and we couldn’t be happier with some of the recent changes including the addition of paid parental leave. Research shows it’s one of the strongest ways a company can support women. These efforts are something we’re really proud of, so thank you for noticing! On the topic of diversity, we disagree. Availity is (and has been) a diverse organization, and it’s growing more diverse every day. We know that we need to improve diversity at our management and senior leadership levels—but we are working on that. Ongoing dialogue and efforts focused on diversity are important to us....watch our efforts grow! Women can (and do) thrive at Availity. There is a tremendous amount of talent among the women we have working at Availity. From our She Can Code It-sponsored women in technology group to our new “AvaiLadies” group formed from our D&I program, the women at Availity are active in promoting, recognizing, mentoring, celebrating, and recruiting women in HIT. We strongly encourage women to join our team!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It’s great to hear that your interviewing process went smoothly; we put a lot of energy into making this a positive experience for all our applicants. You’re correct; the company is growing in both new customers and staff. As a result of this growth, we have several new positions available, and there’s no shortage of work to be done. How we manage all that work is also part of our culture. Our goal is to work with our customers to reduce waste from the healthcare system, and we do that by streamlining processes and digitizing workflows. We are working to apply the same principles internally with enhanced project management and improved internal, cross-departmental communications. In our industry, we expect a certain amount of tech debt and you’re right that we need to plan time to double-check our work and leave room for the unexpected. Thank you for the reminder and thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad you’re part of our team!
