Unequal Pay

Pros

There is a lot of opportunity for upward mobility.

Cons

Depending on the manager you get, unequal pay is rampant. HR will advise you to talk to them about pay, but they externally hire at a payscale of 5k to 30k more for similar roles with similar responsibilities. You will have the legacy knowledge, but when you try to work with HR regarding pay, they truly do not care and will make it sound like they cut you a deal when you promoted from an internal position to a different one.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We have always focused on helping associates succeed and have created a culture where we take feedback and criticism seriously. Availity is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disabled. Whether you are an external hire or an existing Associate seeking new opportunities within the company, Availity strives to offer compensation that is competitive with our market. When putting together an offer for external candidates, as well as our internal associates, we review all relevant factors (education, experience, performance, etc.) and market data to ensure we remain competitive. In addition to compensation, we are proud to offer our associates a comprehensive benefits program, including a 401k program with dollar-for-dollar match on the first 3% and $0.50 on the dollar for the next 2%; unlimited paid time off for exempt Associates and 19 days paid time off for non-exempt associates; paid time for community service; and up to four weeks paid parental leave for all U.S. Associates. Availity does not punish or discourage our Associates for providing critical feedback regarding any of our benefits or processes, we encourage Associates to respectfully communicate their questions and concerns through the appropriate managers and channels.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Availity provides opportunities for growth and advancement for those interested in a healthcare or healthcare IT career. And we have many wonderful managers who create space for associates to innovate and thrive while offering guidance and resources to help them along their development journey. Healthcare is complex and can be challenging to learn for those that aren’t familiar with the industry. But it’s not impossible, and Availity Client Services is a great place to start. We offer new associates tiered training to help them learn the business over time. We also work to get our Client Services Representatives to assist clients as soon as possible—it’s the best way to learn. By helping our clients, new associates quickly feel valued and connected to their work. Availity works hard to be a competitive employer when it comes to compensation and benefits. We also have our Milestones program in this department, which allows associates to receive incremental increases through their first year for high performance. Availity has been recognized as a Best Place to Work™ certified company for Technology, Women, and Millennials. We are sorry to learn that your time with us was stressful. However, we value your feedback and wish you much success in your career.

Pros

I love the level of excellence with which Availity approaches all aspects of the business, and the high expectations it maintains for its employees. I left the teaching profession to pursue something totally new and unfamiliar (to me) at Availity and have been welcomed, mentored, trained and trusted and am so, so thankful for the opportunity to work here.

Cons

I have only been employed at Availity for two months, so I don't have much to submit in this regard.
