      Pros

      Discount is amazing! Trainings for new launches are very well verbalized. Pay is great, especially for a college student. The mission statement.

      Cons

      There is no work/life balance. Management is very poor, such that they gossip instead of trying to gain knowledge on particular situations. Only store managers and asst store managers get fair treatment, leaving out the part timers who suffer the most.

      Pros

      No one will bat an eye at long vacations or family needs requiring time off work - all seem to be on the same page that family comes first.

      Cons

      There is a lot of inertia when it comes to even small changes to the status quo. Rarely, managers (one in particular) can be egotistical and petty, making very little effort to empathize with their "underlings". From what I hear, this was not always the case...

      Pros

      Decent pay, coaching company, steady if full-time, lots of hands-on training, popular brand, and products.

      Cons

      Lack of coverage/hours available to employees, unclear/unfair/inconsistent goaling, the product/brand transparency is not where it claims to be, there is no resolution to any obvious fault or flaws within the company. I think Aveda was wonderful and a very wonderful brand until Estee Lauder bought them. Estee Lauder's business practices and ethics do not coincide with a lot of Aveda's mission.
