The company is very much a boy's club mindset. I find that women are dismissed in management positions. They will promote women into management but their voices are not recognized and they end up getting talked over and/or ignored unless a man speaks up on the same talking point. The women that do get put into management end up being let go for ambiguous reasons like not meeting expectations and then a man is hired to replace them. Internal promotions have become almost non-existent unless you are part of the in crowd.
Some managers have no clear expectations, or the expectations change as the wind blows. This impacts multiple departments and their own direct reports because there is no way to meet goals and excel.
Resources are scarce. They dismissed a majority of the company and those people had a lot of tribal knowledge that has not been shared with anyone currently with the company so you end up stumbling around in the dark trying to find someone who knows how to do something but there isn't anyone, no one can train the new people hired because there is no one that knows the processes. Additionally onboard training is non-existent regarding specific positions. You get an overview of the company and how some things work but when it comes to specifics, unless there is someone in the current job to show you what to do, you are left to just try and figure out how to do your job and even direct managers don't know how to do your job so they can't advise beyond telling you to ask other people to see if they can offer insight on how to do your job.
Others that do have information do not like to share that information because they want to keep their job.
Some managers can't even teach their direct reports how to do the job that they are asking their direct reports to perform so when the direct report asks how they should go about doing their job the manager can't even provide coaching or direction. There is a lot of manual reporting that has to be done because the systems either can't provide reports or no one knows how to generate the needed reports anymore.
HR is very dismissive if you have a problem on your team and they only communicate with upper management and not with directly with you or managers. If you have an issue with your manager or team you are dismissed, They tell you they are investigating but never follow up with information or improvement.
