      Pros

      I focused exclusively on doing what I love as a designer. The pay was fair for the work I did. I liked most of the people I worked with.

      Cons

      The project style guide was already defined before I started. Management was inflexible on the outdated design. They operated like a typical bureaucratic micromanager focused on methods over outcomes. Their JIRA was a nightmare. Too many time-wasting meetings where everyone without knowledge was asked their opinion on design. While they ignored my design suggestions. Immature infighting between middle managers. A manager set me up for failure by asking me to recreate a design from a 2015 website that didn't exist anymore.
