Worked in a software team. Able to hone my craft, mentor my team and shape QA. Loved the flexibility of my team and remote work.

Cons

Rec'd NO mentoring from my boss. Executive staff lies to employees by swaying the truth to not be a full lie.

The benefits are great! M,D,V, hsa, 401k, vaca, sick, personal.

Cons

They (corporate) seem confused at times on the direction of the company. They had rebranded themselves from Securus to Aventiv when I first started. Then 8 months later rebranded back to Securus. The tech support here is mostly incompetent. To add to it, they hire a lot of people that have English as their 2nd language. This makes them very hard to understand. You will spend the 1st week of your employment here in a supposed training class but it feels like a sales pitch. They don't tell you that your vacation time expires at the end of the year.

They had an opportunity to provide a service to incarcerated people that need help.

Cons

Your career is tied to the size of the average daily population of inmates. I’ll say that again. The long term outlook of your career improves as the number of people who are incarcerated increases. Does that sound like a good commitment to have?
