Changing work place policy has provided a micro-management culture. Every movement is monitored. Management creates a work environment where character assassination is viewed as a positive career move. Healthy activities are viewed as potential actionable write ups. Nepotism is an everyday reality. Equipment that helps maintain a healthy body is denied when requested. Not a family friendly environment. Colleagues have had situations where daycare closed or a child was sick and then were publicly shamed for it.

I did not think the benefits or salary were good compared (I came from another Midwestern state) to what I had I had at my two previous employers, one I was at for 8 years and the other 10 years. I took a $30,000+/yr cut in pay plus the cost of my benefits greatly increased. When I left Avera I went back to my home state and got a job making $65,000+/yr more and better benefits.
