A bunch of very smart engineers The opportunity to work on excellent technologies and a exciting field A flexible, casual work environment competitive benefits

Cons

The economy has affected Avid and caused it to make some difficult decisions. The decisions made have made sense but the application of these decisions hasn't been handled well. The casual environment has bled over to how engineering practices have been managed. This is improving but slowly.

Pros

The company has a great product - Media Archive, an enterprise MAM for the media and entertainment space. The people working there are dedicated, talented, and spirited. The company has gone through some hard times in the past, but the people stayed on board, and everybody helped to make things better. With the new management coming on board in late 2006 the company made excellent progress and established itself as a market leader in MAM, which was an incentive for Avid Technology to acquire them in early 2010

Cons

The market for Blue Order's product is very difficult to predict.
