Tragic Failure Across Every Front

Pros

Depending on your position, salaries can be competitive, but the paycheck is not worth the amount of frustration. They understand and accept the world of telecommuting.

Cons

Man's world at Avid, women expected to be and treated like 1950's secretaries. Executive leadership team needs more hand holding and coddling than a small child. Highly political culture where the lifers only care about protecting their turf and executive team allows and supports this type of behavior.

Pros

Working with some of the most innovative audio products in the market is easily number one on the list. Working side by side with some of the most talented audio folks in the industry who serve as mentors and a management team that has a vested interest in your success. Much in the way of overall company improvement over the last few years with new emerging opportunities for individual advancement and fresh upper management paving the way for future growth and profitability.

Cons

With new upper management taking the company in a new direction there are some unknowns as to where the company may be headed in the future. So far everything seems to be on the right track.

Pros

The pay, benefits, and positive work environment are great. I like the fact that there is a level of transparency regarding the direction the company is going. These are exciting times and I'm glad to be part of Avid.

Cons

Sometimes the time it takes to implement change can be longer than expected, but I think it is normal for an enterprise of this size.
