Pros

Many marquis companies who use and rely on our products. Many newer employees added to some long tenured staff adds good mix.

Cons

We were just told no pay raises this year which were committed by CEO earlier in the year. Also requiring employees they have to take unpaid furloughs. Not a sign of a healthy company.

They do not care about employees. They will hire you then lay you off with no notice or care. Layoffs do not go by employee's work ethic or seniority. Any one that sucks up to management will keep their job even if they never show up to work.

I've been at Avid for a little over 5 years. I love the people I work with. It's a decent location. Fun products.

Cons

The fake posts Upper Mgmnt is instructed to put on this site. Trust me, us newer employees are equally unhappy because we can see where the company is going and who is benefiting from it, not just the long time employees like one of their posts says. If they dont' want people bringing down the culture, maybe they should change it. Out of the blue they announced unlimited time off policy. But they won't pay us out for what's in our bank, and unlimited time off only works for departments that don't work Quarter End and Holidays. So basically that great benefit made things worse for some people. HR is a revolving door because once people come in and see the disgrace that goes on, they can't wait to get out.
