Pros

Usually wearing whatever I wanted. Casual dress code. Sometimes getting to leave early, because I could not stand being there.

Cons

Being micro-managed in a call center environment by people who truly don't care about the actual employees. During orientation, a fellow new-hire asked how often new-hire classes would occur. The trainer stated, "we just wait for natural attrition to occur." That was red flag #1. They do nothing to retain employees and constantly rotate them out, like a revolving door. In the call center they STEAL your lunch breaks! Meaning we were told from day 1 that we get a 45-minute lunch break. But on the floor, they do mandatory overtime with NO notice and reduce your lunch to 30 minutes. With no notice, you can't prepare to bring a lunch, the in-building cafe is already closed, and you have to scramble to find lunch elsewhere, BUT then don't have time to actually EAT lunch. The purpose of a break is to have a moment to de-stress & decompress, but ABG does NOT care about the employee's well-being, mental or otherwise. Outdated policies, procedures, software, & equipment. Forcing us to give customers the run-around, telling us to resolve the call, yet not providing us with the ability to adequately do so. We literally had to lie to customers, just to "get them off the line & reduce handle time". Time and time again, the SAME customer ended up back on my line with no resolution. And when I actually took the time to professionally get that resolution, I was reprimanded about excessive handle time. ABG, if you don't want us to OWN & resolve the call, then don't send them to us! They LITERALLY have employees lying to the customers, which creates a negative experience for both the employee & the caller.

Pros

I was compensated well for my job.

Cons

The pay was extremely low for the people I was hiring. I was told to keep making false promises to new candidates. I hired people on Monday and had them in orientation on Tuesday. The pay was so low that people walked out my office and never showed up again. All the companies in the area paid more than we did. The union environment was very damaging to the companies growth. Interviewed on Monday started on Tuesday and Paid 4 weeks later. Horribly rude to employees made it seem that it was the employees fault for the companies horrible way of doing business. Underpaid workers and had a mindset that you want this job or not. While other companies paid 4-5 dollars more than they did.

Pros

Overall the people are great however they are losing talent fast and the culture that made it a great place to work.

Cons

Right now its all about cost cuts, unfortunately they can't get that done correctly. New lay-offs every week versus doing one mass one
