      Pros

      Good communication on avispa's end. Interestingly, even as a contractor you can still get sick hours which was really good. You'd just have to relay messages to both Avispa and your UCSF supervisor. It was also a nice way to put your foot in with UCSF. (They mostly view internal applications so they can view yours even as a contractor). Avispa reaching out to me was essentially how I was able to get my job with UCSF today.

      Cons

      Starting pay is low but once you get onboarded permanently it's totally worth it.
