Pros

Very talented, bright attorneys Potential for interesting projects with top notch clients Permits flexibility in schedule (accept a project when offered or take time off at your preference) Engaging co-workers

Cons

Extremely long "beach times" were more and longer than suggested during on-boarding process for skill set within "sweet spot" Low compensation No benefits Lack of communication from business team - require constant follow-ups to get status updates Lack of uniform preparation across different sites - e.g., some prepare you to succeed during client interviews, some just throw you in cold with few details about the potential project Projects are for less hours than promised Some clients do not treat you like a part of the team - but rather like "the help" Opportunities for work are few and far between and often disintegrate (sometimes without you being told) Several attorneys compete for any client opportunity so if you chose Axiom to avoid "rain-making" you aren't really getting away from it

Pros

They make a lot of promises in interviews. Sounds great

Cons

The promises are false. Either they don't have the jobs they say they do or they 'hire' too many attorneys. You're on the wait list much longer than they tell you and no communication. You have to hound your Axiom contact for opportunities.

Pros

ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO

Cons

Uh, let's see....oh that's right, after multiple phone and in-person interviews to get accepted by Axiom, I've had exactly ZERO interviews with any actual employers. I'm in my mid 50s and have held senior attorney/exec positions at several companies and have an ivy league education so when Axiom execs countered my 'ageism' concerns at every level of their overly long acceptance process, I was inclined to believe them. Wrongo. Zero interviews after TWO YEARS!

Thanks for taking the time share your feedback with us. We look for lawyers of all levels from early career through careers spanning four decades, as do many of our clients. While we can't guarantee that all of our lawyers will have as many interviews as they wish, the experience you're describing does not sound at all typical. We'd be happy to talk and learn more about how we can remedy your concerns. Please reach out to me at advance@axiomlaw.com. Stephanie
