Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We’re glad you find the office environment enjoyable, although we differ with your remarks about remuneration, and we’re not quite sure what you mean about the ability to move up in the company. The Axos culture is meritocratic above all, and that means we provide opportunities for highly talented individuals to grow personally and professionally. At Axos, employees are able to take on responsibilities that go well beyond what people with similar experience levels would find in other organizations. Those who thrive in this culture are rewarded accordingly – both in terms of advancement opportunities and in terms of our competitive compensation structure, which comprises base pay plus merit-based bonuses. Those bonuses are paid out twice a year and are based on the individual’s contribution during the preceding 6-month performance period. It's our goal for you to grow personally and professionally, and so we encourage you to have a discussion with your manager about your career progression with Axos.

We agree: this IS an exciting place to work, and we're glad to have you on the team! Axos has expanded significantly in recent years, with much of that growth coming from acquisitions of businesses across the United States. Our focus now is on unifying the team around a common set of goals and values. We're actively looking at ways to enhance employee engagement, and we thank you for the constructive feedback.

Pros

Great Product, I have some friends who bank with Axos with great things to say about it. Additional I was a part of team where I enjoyed working with my Manager and other team members. Axos offered some good perks as well such great coffee machines and high bonus potential.

Cons

Axos reminds me of Wall Street in the 90s, the culture is very much work long hours and you were always reminded that this was not a 40 hour work environment. However I found that I was put on projects that were just "busy work." Pushing papers just to say that you put in a 60 hour week, because the more hours you work the "harder" you are working. People who did not work extra hours would be called "soft." Additional working with the CEO was like walking on egg shells, everyone was afraid to voice their suggestions because if he was not on-board you were at risk of losing your job. He obviously is a good business man however always need to hear that he was right and never was open to anyone's opinions.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We’re glad to hear both that you enjoyed working with your manager and your team, and that your friends who bank with us like our products and service. We also value continual improvement and constructive feedback in uncovering inefficiencies, but some of the impressions you shared don’t sound representative of our internal culture. The Axos culture is both meritocratic and one that values emotional involvement: by being genuinely and emotionally invested in our work, we create an uplifting environment for ourselves and others. Our culture also values rationality, or fact-based objectivity. At all levels of the Axos environment -- from senior executives to junior members of our team -- decisions are expected to be based not on what we hope is true but on an understanding of the actual facts. It sounds as though our culture may not have been the right fit for you, and we wish you success in the next stage of your career.
