You're a slave at this company

Pros

Since it is now a tipped position + a decent hourly pay. The pay is pretty good if you know how to work for tips.

Cons

Leadership is the worst. There is a lot of retaliation at this store if you speak up for yourself for unfair scheduling. Some people constantly get weekends off to go party where as if you request time off weeks to months ahead it either gets denied or approved. However, if you take some time off you get worked 7 to 8 days in a row. The schedule is not rotated even if the entire store wants it. Prepare to work 13+ weekends in a row before getting 1 weekend day off. My personal relationships were slipping because I only had time for work. Prepare to close at 10pm and then open at 8am the next day. Additionally, management has highly inappropriate behavior towards female staff. The messages my friends were receiving displayed disgusting behavior and made me lose all respect towards leadership. Not only that, but leadership made a lot of "jokes" with male subordinates at the cost of women's expense. Super misogynistic behavior. Very much "bro" energy at this store.

Pros

The union contract basically was the reason for any pros. Never fully staffed so they will put you in any department, very kind of them to train other companies' future weedworkers.

Cons

First off, Jonathan Sandelman hasn't been the CEO for years, they can't really keep one for more than a year. Working conditions were so moldy that third party air tests had sections that said "fungal overload." Had managers tell me I was "looking too hard for mold" for following their SOPs. There has been so much financial mismanagement and negligence that I have no reason to believe they ever act in good faith, the cease trade order just confirmed this for me. They treat their investors like their employees: as if they're fools, keeping them in the dark, and possibly lying to them. I know someone who received a settlement check from them that bounced!
