Pros

They focus on adult education

Cons

This company has no respect or trust in their employees especially their sales team. They talk a good talk and pretend to be family-oriented when they are trying to hire you, but once you take the job, you will soon learn there is absolutely no trust or respect for you as an employee! If you like being micro-managed, treated like a child, belittled, not -trusted and don’t care about being respected, then you may want to work here. I have worked in sales for many companies and never have I experienced such a lack of respect and trust. All of the management team buys into this kind of behavior and if you are a manager that actually respects your team, then you will be let go fairly soon after. And the word “team”, they have no idea what that means because they don’t like you to talk to your colleagues or team. There is absolutely no collaboration at this company. It did start out as a family company so any of the good reviews probably come from a family member or a manager who has bought into this type of treatment of their employees. And if you do go to work for them watch out for the non-compete contract that they will sneak into a stock option document. If you sign, you will not be able to work for another company in the market and they will hold true to that! Beware!

Pros

The company is fast-growing and becoming the trendsetter and premier actor in the arena, displaying a strong business foundation. While rapidly accelerating, the company has kept the entrepreneurial spirit that rewards strategic thinkers, fast movers, curiosity, and a strong work ethic. The leadership team- namely the CEO and COO (the owners), understands and supports work-life balance and the importance of family providing flexibility when needed. This fast-paced environment requires employees to display a strong work ethic and follow-through, which is rewarded with a solid culture and great pay. Trust is provided to employees, but there is a demand that it be appropriately cared for and guarded as the company's success and our families depend on the good faith effort of employees. I have always felt listened to and supported despite not always agreeing on topics. I support the balanced growth and operations of the company and continue to enjoy my home here. Come here if you want the shot at bringing your resources to the table, learning, and leaving a mark.

Cons

Aztec is a rapidly yet strategically expanding and evolving organization focused on providing the best service to our clients. With that growth comes the responsibility for everyone to lean into the discomfort of continued learning and adapt to new scenarios. Not everyone is skilled, built, or ready to continue growing toward greater excellence, but if you are, then Aztec IS the place for you. I can not think of unresolved cons that have not been addressed with the senior leadership team and have not been explored and addressed. The important thing to note about these critical conversations is that everyone has to play their role, trust the proven business approach and be solution-focused.

Pros

I have worked for many companies in my years and have always gravitated towards the kinds of organizations that treat their employees like family and Aztec, who was founded by the current CEO's mother has always felt like a family. The executive management has always been supportive of the importance of family events and I have always felt like I could call them with any problems I might have, even personal ones. Most importantly I have always felt as though my opinions and thoughts were listened to.

Cons

Like all tight knit companies Aztec can take a little bit to break into but once you do you realize what was missing in your previous jobs. They do ask a lot of the employees but again, I have fully enjoyed getting to do lots of different things in the company.
