      Exec Mgmt took a great company and ran it into the ground.

      Pros

      Salaries ok, good people, very competent experienced staff, benefits fine. Work for a good cause.

      Cons

      Executive management ran company into the ground. Spent most of its business pursuit money on 1 or 2 Hail Marys (vs going after good variety), and lost. Impact was current business was neglected and very little new business. Functional management was mostly eliminated, demographics now oriented to younger, cheaper staff. Movement to contractor environment (job stability on month to month basis). Technical staff circling the wagon mentality. No accountability for executive mis-management.

      Pros

      One of the taglines used on publicity posters was "We protect those who protect us." That made it worthwhile to go to work every day. I had good opportunity for advancement in recent years, but that was not always the case. Biweekly flex time was wonderful!

      Cons

      Too many changes going on recently, some tied to economy, some tied to politics, some to consolidation of work sites across BAE. Uncertainty of job security.
